This morning. Our main street Long Island Series continues. We are heading out to highlight some of our great local businesses every Monday and today we're back page. Our Jen Selig is at Orlando's Deli grabbing a bite to eat at this early hour morning, Jen. Hey, good morning. A rich. They open up at five o'clock. Perfect to come in and grab a bite. If you live in that page, they got their rolls, they got bagels, the grill over there. I heard the bacon egg and cheese on a roll is the hot item. Can't blame anyone. All Long Islanders love our breakfasts, including Lenny. Here. You're a regular customer. How often you come here every single day? For many years, right. Yes. For about probably about 30 years been coming here for breakfast. What do you order? Do you get the usual thing or? Yeah, most of the time I get the same thing every day. You know, every once in a while I'll switch it up. What keeps bringing you back? My friend Tony and I, we talk about, we have mutual interests with woodworking and stuff. So, uh we talk about the local los that we read the paper, talk about local things and then, uh, stay here for an hour and then we, uh, go home and go about our day and you live in Beth Page, right. What's in all my life? What's the best part about this community? It's a very tight knit community that, uh, you know, people kind of stick together and work together in a community to try to make it a better place. You've probably seen this town build up, especially on Broadway with all these new businesses coming in. Right. Yeah. But the Broadway hasn't changed much over the years because it's, uh, it's not a stre through street on Broadway. So it, it developed early on and, uh, haven't changed much over the past 40 or 50 years. Really? There's some hidden gems here though, I heard. So. Absolutely. There's always new stores coming in. You have the mainstay of Sweeney's and, uh, uh, Donnie Shat's, uh, place there was, those are the 22, main businesses in town that bring in most of the traffic. I think he knows his way around. Beth Page for shows. I'm gonna leave you guys alone. I don't know if you ate your breakfast or not, but enjoy it. We're gonna stick around here and Beth Page. This morning. Our main street Long Island series continues. Yeah, we are heading out to highlight some of our great local businesses every Monday morning and today we're in Beth page and our Jen Selig is at Moscato Bakery and Cafe morning, Jen. Hey, good morning. Everything you see on this counter here is baked fresh and it boy, it smells so good. Lily manages the bakery and how do you not get sick? Like how do you not eat this stuff? Oh my God. You wanna eat everything you early in the morning, especially when you walk in. You wanna eat everything in here but you have to look for you. But anyway, everything is nice fresh. We are here over 30 years and uh everything is fresh. We have a lot of customers locally from that page. They come from plain view all over a la saya said we have a first customer coming from a very far away for us. Are you said the pastries are the good stuff. The fan favorite pastries are cheesecakes. Uh The American cheese cakes are very famous. People come from all over for cheesecakes and you live in Beth Page. You work in Beth Page. You love Beth Page. I love be Page. Page is a beautiful town and good town. Actually, it's a very, very safe, good and nice to have. And you have regular customers, customers. As I said, the people are coming from far away to get stuff from us. We making a custom cakes. Franco makes beautiful custom cakes. Any design, anything you want, you can come here and get the cake. Franco does a great job. What's your best part about Beth Page? And, and being here, oh, it's a nice community. It's a beautiful community. It's a very uh clean and nice town. I, I lived in here since I'm here to United States. I live here. It is a cute community and, and you guys do a great job here at your bakery. It smells so good. So we're going to take a few bites of this and send it back to you guys in the studio. Thank you.

It is Monday, which means we're heading out to show off some of our favorite local businesses this morning. Our main street Long Island series continues in Beth Page and now Jen Selig is on Broadway right now, Jen. Where are you at? And what do you tell us about so many businesses here? Right on Broadway. And a lot of the people this morning tell me that live in this community that it's the older businesses that make Broadway so special, including here at BK Sweeney and with me to ladies that know this community inside out Carol. In fact, you have roots here, family roots for 100 years. Yes. My family is from Hicksville and that page for over 100 years, they came to this area and it was all arms. So you guys really, your family saw this place grow for what it is today. Yes. And I own two businesses here in town as well. Century 21 Catapano and Metro Management. So Carol and Lisa, they're with the chamber and talk to me a little bit about the type of businesses that we have here in town. We have a lot of um food uh uh providers, uh nail salons, uh bakeries, professionals. Um We have some uh uh marketing type businesses. Uh We have a new business in town, the uh crystal shop. So it's expanding. I know we're gonna check that one out. And you've been in this community for so long too. What's your favorite part about it? Uh I love, I married into Beth Page. So, uh I love the, the community, the, the way that people support each other. It's like that old neighborhood that everybody knows, like, you know, the families know each other for generations, the grandparents, the parents, kids. So I, I like that part about that and being right in front of BK Sweeney's. If you're in this area, you know about this place, this place has been around for decades. Right. Yes, the provider, John Katis is very active in the community. He's a chamber of commerce board member and he organizes a group of people and they do a lot of patriotic activities downtown. They hang American flags for Memorial Day and Veterans Day. And they also started John started a program where we have banners displaying our war heroes. That page is so special. So we're going to stick around here in town and check out other places and send it back to you guys in the studio.

It's Monday, which means we're heading out to show off some of your favorite local businesses. And this morning, our Main street Long Island Series continues in Beth Page. That is where our Jen Selig has been getting a tour around town right now. She is at twin flame. Hey, Jen. Hey, can we take a look at all these crystals here? This store is absolutely gorgeous. And with me, I have Sean and Jessica, they're business partners, but more importantly, recently engaged. Congratulations. Talk to me about your business. You guys have been here for about a year now. Yeah, we opened up about a year ago last November. Um Since we've been in here, we've been creating a metaphysical community all about spirituality. Um We like to carry all different varieties of crystals, metaphysical goods, candles, geodes. We also offer a ton of services including reiki tarot card reading workshops. Uh Anything in that metaphysical realm we really try and get into. So this type of business is new here for Beth Page. This is a brand new business in Beth Page. We also live about two minutes from our store. Um We try to have as much pride in our community as possible. Uh We work with all of the local businesses. We work with anyone who's in uh in Beth Page. Uh We really just try and build a big, as big of a community as possible and this store may look a little small but Jessica, can you show me what you did before? Because this is, that was like, whoa, so this is where we do our tarot Reiki healing sessions, right? Let's take a look inside here. And what do we got going on in here now? Are you? My name is Jill. I'm Toro Reader. I'm Annie. I'm the Reiki Master teacher. So you're usually back here doing readings. What's the best part about this? I just love helping people connecting with people and just really change lives with it. It's amazing. People come in here. They um they're very upset, frustrated about things. Sometimes you could really help them solve problems. See the good insight on things that are coming up in their lives, challenges, things like that and just giving them some good advice. We're in Beth Page and right now News Twelve's Jen Selig is at me and you boutique restaurant and bar. Hey, Jen, having fun today. I'm having a blast here. Erin. I love Beth Page and I think a lot of people here do too. We got a group here ready to eat some breakfast, including Susan and Gary. You guys live in Beth Page. You've been here for a long time and you come here often, quite often, a few times a week. We're here actually. And we love it. We seriously, we love it. So this is the brunch spot in town, right? It's the brunch. It's the breakfast. It's, you know, whenever people can get, it's Fay is here. You know, I think she opens at nine, closes at four. So we're here sometimes for breakfast, sometimes for brunch, depending on what our schedule is. Whenever you're hungry. You just come on down. Right. Beautiful ladies here. What are we ordering this morning? Oh, please do. Go ahead. What are you ordering? Oh, I ordered two scrambled eggs and uh, rye toast well done, which they do. Perfect here, buttered. And, uh, I love everything here. Everything. The waffle, the waffle is like savory sweet. There's something for everybody and I know we have some food actually right now on the counter. And with me, I have f you are the owner and talk to me what we got here on the counter. Good morning. How are you? Um These are some of our best sellers. So on the first one, this one since we opened it, since day one, it's been on the menu. It's an avocado toast. Uh buttermilk pancakes, our breakfast burrito that we just recently added and our double cut stuff. French toast. What's the best part about having the business right here on Broadway? I've lived in Beth Page for, oh my God. I can't even remember when I live two blocks away late for work almost every day. Uh Best part about it is it brings the community together. We have lots of kids, lots of families as you can see, Lily's here this morning. Um And it's a very family friendly place and that's what I wanted to create here in downtown Buff Page. So it's very close to home, very close to my heart. So let's have some breakfast and enjoy it and send it back to you guys in the studio. I just, just the best

Main Street Long Island Series continues this afternoon. Today, we are out highlighting some of the great local businesses they have in Beth Page news. Twelve's Gente leg is over at campaign house getting a taste of this community. It is lunch time at the campaign house here in Beth Page. And if you've been here, you know that this is a great spot to grab a bite to eat lunch time, dinner time. Really? Any time with me I have Don, you are the owner of this beautiful restaurant. Talk to me about what's business like here on Broadway. Oh, business is great on Broadway. Uh We do live three times a week. Uh We serve lunch and dinner seven days a week. We do parties and events, things on the patio, things in front of the fireplace. It's a lot of fun. You have a beautiful dining room with rich history right on the walls there. That's really important to you and your family. Yes, it is. The whole bar was built as a homage to Charles campaign and there's a school in town elementary school named after my grandfather. And we tried to bring out the Rich history with the farm boards as to show the history of Beth Page being a farming community back in the day. It's so crazy to me how much Beth Page has evolved over the deck. It's really hard to believe. Right. And then after it was this farming community, Grumman came in and it changed the whole dynamic of the community. Again. It's a great spot and I know a lot goes on in this community. There's events right on Broadway, right. This weekend we have our music on Broadway and we're gonna have a band called Southbound. They'll be line dancing in the street. All fun. Bring the kids. It's a great family event. What's your favorite part about, you know, having the business right here and just being part of the community? I love it because it's part of my hometown. I've lived here my whole life and the community is so, so great. They gave back so much during COVID and it was just a great place to be. So we're gonna stick around here and grab a bite to eat and send things back to you guys in the studio.
