A Uniondale man was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years to life for murder.

Kyle Colthirst was found guilty of fatally shooting 24-year-old Kyle Midtlyng in Uniondale in 2021.

Prosecutors say Midtlyng was found with a gunshot wound at Alexander Avenue and Lee Road. The victim died in the street.

Another man is also charged in the shooting.
