Police: Man critically injured in Wyandanch crash; driver arrested for leaving scene

A crash Friday in Wyandanch left a 51-year-old man in critical condition, according to police.
Authorities say James Lantero, of Ronkonkoma, was struck at the intersection of Irving Avenue and Lewis Street just after 10 p.m.
He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.
The driver, 49-year-old Bertha Dantant, was arrested and accused of leaving the scene.
