Police say a suspect was shot three times during a police-involved incident on Netz Place in Albertson.

Police say they received a 911 call around 10:15 a.m. from a man who claimed there was another man outside his house holding a gun and threatening to shoot.

Authorities say they told the suspect to show his hands. Instead, they say he pulled out the gun and advanced toward the officers.

Officials say the suspect was struck in the leg, thigh and hand. He was transported to the hospital. The two officers were not injured.

It is not clear how many shots were fired during the incident, but the investigation is ongoing.

Police say they do not believe the neighbor and suspect knew each other, and there appears to have been no confrontation.
