yesterdayFive officers were injured while trying to arrest a man Thursday in West Hempstead.
Police say it started while investigating a disturbance behind a Hempstead Turnpike restaurant.
That is when police say 27-year-old Luis Taborda Corrales fled on a bicycle.
When officers found him a short time later, he became violent.
All five officers were taken to the hospital.
