A Newsday/Siena College poll shows Tom Suozzi and incumbent Ed Mangano are in a virtual tie in the race for Nassau County executive.

According to the poll, 42 percent of registered voters would vote for Suozzi, and 41 percent would vote for Mangano.

Suozzi, who was county executive from 2002-2009, still hasn't officially won his Democratic Party's nomination. However, the poll shows Suozzi leads among likely Democratic primary voters 58 percent to challenger Adam Haber's 25 percent.

News 12 Long Island's Lea Tyrrell will host a debate between Suozzi and Haber on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Democratic primary will be held September 10.
