Some lucky ducks were rescued from a storm drain in Eastport, thanks to the Eastport Fire Department and a Suffolk police officer.
They say nine of the baby ducklings were stuck in a storm drain on Encore Boulevard just before 6:30 p.m. Friday.
The first responders pulled the ducklings to safety as the mother duck looked on.
The rescue came just hours before Friday night's heavy rains.
