Kings Park School District is the first in Suffolk County to install the RAVE Panic Button mobile app to help during an emergency situation.

The app is designed to enhance the ability of police and first responders to effectively react and respond to a medical emergency or an active shooter.

Ninety percent of Suffolk's public school districts have signed up for the app.

Most schools in Nassau already have installed the app.
