A man was seriously injured after a crash in North Babylon.

Andrew Mruczek, 48, of Connecticut, was traveling on Deer Park Avenue when his vehicle left the roadway and hit a utility pole, according to police.

The incident happened near Parkdale Drive around 10 p.m. on Monday night.

Mruczek was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, Suffolk police say.
