Firefighters raced to Medford early Sunday morning after a car went up in flames.
Police say the driver lost control of his Mercedes by Horseblock Road and National Boulevard around 1:30 a.m., before slamming into a PSEG pole.
That pole toppled over, lighting the car on fire.
Officials say the driver and passenger were not seriously injured.
The area was closed while PSEG crews cleaned up the damage.
