The 30th annual National Night Out was held Tuesday in Freeport.
Hundreds of Long Islanders attended the event, enjoying live music, food and free demonstrations. The event tries to boost crime prevention by bringing neighbors together and strengthening police partnerships with the community.
National Night Out also gives residents a chance to learn more about services offered in their neighborhoods.
