Westhampton man arrested for leaving the scene of an East Quogue crash

A man has been arrested for a hit-and-run crash Sunday night in Suffolk County.

34-year-old Alfredo Osorio of Westhampton was arrested Wednesday following an investigation by Southampton Town Detectives.

Osorio hit a pedestrian in East Quogue and left the scene, according to police.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. on Lewis Road near County Road 104.

The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on the felony charge of Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident at Southampton Town Justice Court.
