One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Suffolk County on Sunday night.

The Mastic Fire Department responded to the accident on William Floyd Parkway northbound and Victory Avenue in Shirley around 9:30 p.m.

A 1999 Jeep collided with a 2010 Mini Cooper at the intersection, according to Suffolk police.

Firefighters used brooms and shovels to clean up the debris and fluid that was leaking on the roadway.

The 36-year-old Mastic woman who was driving the Mini Cooper was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police say.

The driver of the Jeep, a 54-year-old Yaphank man, was not hurt.

This was the seventh alarm that the volunteer members of the Mastic Fire Department were called to that day.

No charges have been filed against either driver at this time.
