As prices at the pump remain high, lines are getting longer at Costco Wholesale gas stations.
The company says the demand for gas they’re seeing is the highest in its 50 year history.
Many stations are so overwhelmed that they are calling in tanker trucks to replenish fuel multiple times per day, Costco reported in their third-quarter earnings call on Thursday.
With prices surging over $4 nationwide, the wholesale club quickly became a top destination for filling up.
Costco typically undercuts local gas stations by about 30 cents a gallon.
There are five Costco gas stations on Long Island, in Commack, Holbrook, Oceanside, Riverhead and Westbury.
