Connecticut has a new kid governor.

It's Cristiano Almeida of Southington where he attends Oshana Elementary School.

Fifth graders across the state elected him. He ran on a platform of the increasing physical activity in kids

Cristiano will serve a one-year term and takes his oath in January at Connecticut's Old State House.
