A raccoon was rescued after he was found with a jar stuck on his head in Farmingdale on Sunday.
A local animal rights advocate with Long Island Cat and Kitten Solution was called in to help aid in the rescue.
After several attempts, rescuers were able to pull the jar off the racoon’s head.
The raccoon was freed and released.
