The bus has not been removed, though officials yesterday said it was stabilized last night.
According to the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office, the bus collapsed through the lot at 1979 Marcus Ave. just after 5 p.m. as temperatures were nearing triple digits. The lot is part of a larger office building.
No one was hurt above or below ground, but the driver, who was trapped several feet in the air, had to be rescued.
The Nassau County Tactical Rescue squad and Nassau County Police Emergency Services Bureau are evaluating the scene.
Witnesses told News 12 the bus was driving in the lot when the asphalt suddenly gave way.
Office workers had to abandon their cars for the night and find another way home after the vehicles became trapped in the damaged garage.
The cause of the collapse is still under investigation.
