A pedestrian was hit by a car and killed Sunday evening in Huntington Station, according to officials.
Police say it happened around 5 p.m. on New York Avenue near Nassau Road.
Officials say that Ena Flores crossing New York Avenue near Lowndes Avenue when she was struck by a 2005 Nissan Sentra operated by Jorge Granados. 
Flores, 47, of Huntington Station, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Second Squad detectives arrested and charged Granados, 25, of Huntington Station, with Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
