A Valley Stream man has been arrested following an incident at a Fourth of July barbecue on Friday.

Nicholas Stolz allegedly sprayed a chemical substance at a neighbor's home during a dispute, according to Nassau police.

Authorities say the incident happened just after 8 p.m. on Cochran Place.

Police have not specified how many people were injured, only that multiple people were taken to nearby hospitals for evaluation and treatment. The 46-year-old was arrested without incident after an investigation, according to police.

Stolz is charged with multiple counts of assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He is being arraigned Saturday at the First District Court in Hempstead.
