A crash in Central Islip left one man dead and another with critical injuries late Saturday night.
Police say a car struck them as they were walking in the roadway on Wilson Boulevard at 11:59 p.m.
Jacinto Santos, 55, was hospitalized and pronounced dead. Mauro Zaldivar Cruz, 38, remains in critical condition.
