A Lynbrook man is accused of headbutting a Nassau County police medic.

Detectives say 24-year-old Ali Aoun became combative when officers called for an ambulance for him Monday evening.

They say Aoun headbutted the police medic when the ambulance arrived.

The medic suffered a bruise to his head and experienced dizziness. He was treated and released.

Aoun is now charged with assault.
