Court docs: Jake's 58 shooting victim claims Suffolk OTB, county could have prevented attack

According to court documents, Steffan Bumpers claims the Islandia casino did not have enough security staff and security measures in place at the time of the attack.

A Wyandanch man who was shot in the Jake’s 58 parking lot is accusing the casino and Suffolk County of not doing enough to prevent the shooting.
According to court documents, Steffan Bumpers claims the Islandia casino did not have enough security staff and security measures in place at the time of the attack.
Bumpers was shot twice in May of last year outside the casino.
The accused shooter, Nashawn Legros, of Wyandanch, faces several charges, including attempted murder.
Both the Suffolk OTB that owns Jake’s 58 and Suffolk County officials say they cannot comment on pending litigation.
