yesterdayAn Elmont man is facing assault charges after allegedly attacking two police officers while resisting arrest.
Police say the incident happened when they responded to a disturbance call at a home on South King Street just before midnight Thursday.
They say Hurguens Jasmine, 24, hit officers with a metal broomstick several times.
Both officers suffered minor injuries.
