A 13-year-old boy is facing multiple charges for burglaries at a Merrick bicycle shop, according to police.
Officers say they responded to the scene on 1827 Merrick Ave. at around 2:40 a.m. Sunday after the suspect attempted to burglarize the store, failed to gain entry and then fled the scene.
Police say an investigation revealed that the boy was responsible for two other burglary incidents that took place at the shop on Tuesday and Friday.
The charges against him include burglary, two counts of attempted burglary, criminal mischief and possession of burglar tools.
