The Suffolk County Police Arson Unit says it is investigating a suspicious fire that broke out at 22 Old Townline Road Thursday morning in Hauppauge.

"It's deemed as suspicious, and it is currently under investigation by the arson squad." says Fire Chief Christopher Crean, of the Hauppauge Fire Department.

According to Chief Crean, this is the second time the vacant home has caught on fire.

Officials tell News 12 firefighters that they were called to the location on May 13 for a fire at the same home, as well as another that broke out fire next door at 20 Old Townline Road.

Both fires remain under investigation.
