The situation on Pelham Parkway North remained wet and icy Thursday after gallons of water from a broken valve turned parts of the roadway into a frozen lake.
The valve broke during the height of the snowstorm Wednesday, causing water to flood parts of the greenway and street.
A lane remained closed on the busy parkway as Department of Environmental Protection crews worked to fill a massive hole.
News 12 reached out to DEP about what caused the valve break. It has not yet responded.
