A Bronx woman was arrested and charged in the stabbing death of 40-year-old Dwayne Valentine inside his Kingsbridge Heights apartment.
Police announced the arrest of 37-year-old Cynthia Phillips. She faces murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon charges. The relationship between the suspect and victim was not immediately clear.
News 12 spoke with Valentine’s friends on Tuesday, hours after the late Monday night stabbing.
Police say the deadly incident began with an argument, though the exact details remain unclear. Sources believe it may have been a domestic dispute.

"He didn’t bother nobody. He was always here with this girl," said one friend who didn't want to be identified. "We had a couple of drinks together. Who wants to know that was going to happen."
