Islip High School unveiled a Wall of Honor Tuesday to recognize the heroes who used to walk their halls.
The display is dedicated to 91 first responders. Their names, graduation year and their service emblems are included.
Each member has 10 plus years of service or a line of duty incident.
The wall was a passion project for two senior students who wanted to express the importance of respecting first responders and their sacrifices.
"We want the students that walk our hallways to know that they need to be appreciated," said Kailey Roarty.
