A Far Rockaway man accused of stealing from a store and threatening an employee with a razor blade was arrested Monday in Oceanside.

Detectives say Brandon McFadden, 62, tried to take merchandise without paying from the Stop & Shop on Atlantic Avenue.

When an employee attempted to intervene, police say he threatened him with a razor blade before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police arrested McFadden nearby a short time later.

Officers say they also found a white, powdery substance believed to be crack cocaine in his possession.

The charges against McFadden include robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance, menacing and petit larceny.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Hempstead.
