NYPD: 2 men injured in East Williamsburg stabbing and shooting incident

Authorities say the two got into a fight around 11:30 p.m. on Graham Avenue.

Two men are said to be in stable condition after a fight in East Williamsburg escalated Saturday night.
According to police, it happened around 11:30 p.m. along Graham Avenue in between Boerum and Mckibbin streets.
It ended with a 28-year-old being shot in the chest and a 36-year-old being stabbed in the back.
Neighbors told News 12 that the area is changing.
“It wasn’t like that five or 10 years ago or 20 years ago," said Anna, a longtime Williamsburg resident.
While other residents say this act of violence is rare.
“It was worse in the 70’s. Have you seen 'Taxi Driver?' It use to be way worse. It seems worse because there’s more media now," said Darius, a Bushwick resident.
According to police, the two men where in custody but no arrests had been made as of Sunday evening.
