Nassau man arrested for having 13-year-old daughter sell drugs

A man is accused of using his young child to sell drugs in Nassau County.

Julio Enmanuel Pena, 39, of Freeport, had made arrangements to sell cocaine to another individual, according to police.

Detectives tell News 12 the man then had his 13-year-old daughter complete the transaction.

Following an investigation, Enmanuel Pena was arrested at his home without incident on Monday afternoon.

Nassau police say another quantity of a substance believed to be cocaine was also found during his arrest.

The defendant will face several charges at his arraignment on Tuesday, including criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal sale of a controlled substance, use of a child to commit a controlled substance offense and endangering the welfare of a child.
