Nassau Executive Blakeman: Gas line breached during Baldwin sinkhole repairs

Another issue surfaced for the Baldwin community that has been dealing with sinkhole repairs this week.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman said a gas line was breached during repairs of the broken sewer line near the hole.

The breach knocked out power and gas for some neighbors.

Blakeman and National Grid told News 12 Long Island that the gas line was repaired.

The county and National Grid are also going to residents' homes to help re-ignite their gas pilot light.

News 12 Long Island was told service should be fully restored soon.
