If you're ready to cool off in the ocean, beware on the East End.

Officials say Portuguese man-of-wars are washing up.

The creatures have been seen at Hither Hills in Montauk, Tiana Beach and a number of Southampton spots.

Experts say the man-of-wars are passing through on their journey north. They are expected to be gone by this weekend.

This is the first Long Island man-of-war sighting in seven years.
