A Nassau judge has upheld the sex abuse conviction of former Yankee Rosendo "Rusty" Torres.
She rejected the defense's argument that jurors at Torres' trial had been pressured to change their votes.
Torres, of Massapequa, was convicted on five counts of sexual abuse in July. Prosecutors said he abused a girl under the age of 11 while working as a baseball coach for the Town of Oyster Bay.
He was acquitted of abusing a second girl. He faces up to seven years in prison on each count.
