Hofstra University students give up spring break to volunteer across LI

More than 80 Hofstra students will be taking part in volunteer work in both Nassau and Suffolk counties throughout the week.

Several Hofstra University students gave up their spring break this week to volunteer in neighborhoods across Long Island.
It's part of the university's community service week program.
More than 80 Hofstra students will be taking part in volunteer work in both Nassau and Suffolk counties throughout the week.
Some of the community work includes environmental activities, youth mentoring and wildlife conservation.
