A postal worker in Freeport is accused of stealing credit cards from the mail.
Assistant District Attorney Peter Mancuso says Yvonne Jamison stole seven credit cards after she began working at the Freeport Post Office last year.
One complaint to the Postmaster General's office turned into a 10-month investigation.
Prosecutors say Jamison made 83 transactions ranging from $4 to $180. In the end, she racked up more than $4,000 in charges at restaurants, gas stations and liquor stores.
Jamison is facing forgery, grand larceny and identity theft charges. She's due back in court on Wednesday.
Jamison faces a seven-year sentence if convicted.
