Diocese of Rockville Centre sells headquarters for $5.2 million amid bankruptcy

Newsday reports that the diocese is making about $5.2 million from the sale after concluding their old building at 50 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre was no longer cost-effective to maintain.

The Diocese of Rockville Centre has sold its headquarters.
The diocese is making about $5.2 million from the sale after concluding their old building at 50 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre was no longer cost-effective to maintain.
The diocese filed for bankruptcy in October due to financial pressures over payments to childhood victims of clergy sexual abuse.
It has also been shuttering its grammar schools.
There was no word where the new headquarters may be.
