A lawsuit filed by Nassau Community College teachers against the college has been dismissed, according to court records.

The teachers union fought the school’s decision to eliminate 15 academic department chairpersons.

The union said it violated state education regulations and would impact the education quality on campus.

The judge who dismissed the suit said the petitioners failed to demonstrate anything done in violation of lawful procedure.
