Bridgeport firefighters say they were able to put out a heavy fire Saturday afternoon at a home on Sixth Street.

They say it happened around 4:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

The Red Cross was assisting 16 residents as of Saturday night.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
