More than 170,000 people poured into Jones Beach for Bethpage Air Show on Saturday.
This is the 20th anniversary of the popular Long Island extravaganza that showcases some of the best flying stunts and maneuvers in the county for spectators to enjoy.
Friday's practice show drew a record setting number of 106,000 people, according to park officials.
According to State Parks Spokesman Chip Gorman, parking fields were full as of 10:30 a.m. at the Bethpage Airshow at Jones Beach, which led to several road closures in the area.
Attendees at the Bethpage Air Show on Saturday also enjoyed an interactive virtual reality experience hosted by the U.S. Navy.
The Nimitz Exhibition took guests on a high-speed mission to save a group of civilians trapped in the jungle.
Participants told News 12 that it felt like the real thing.
"The vest you had on vibrated with each sound,” said Floral Park resident Kathy Sangen. “It was completely 3-D. It was amazing."
The Nimitz Exhibition will be open to the public throughout the weekend.
The air show continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
