One of the two people killed in a Hicksville crash was a member of the Levittown Fire Department.

The department says Lindsey Parke, 19, of Levittown, was known for bringing cupcakes and cookies to the department and was passionate and hard-working about her service.

Parke and Alexa Duryea, also of Levittown, were killed when a BMW they were passengers in crashed late Friday night.

The vehicle was traveling west on Old Country Road, when it crossed into on-coming traffic, struck a tree, and then a building.

The 23-year-old driver of that car was taken to the hospital for treatment.
