A Suffolk County non-profit says donations were taken from their facility after hours.

'Branches Long Island' says a group of people went inside and helped themselves after a volunteer accidentally left their community center door open.

The Middle Island charity shared a photo on their Facebook page, concealing the identity of a child who was there, with three women.

The incident happened on Tuesday evening when the lights were off and no staff or volunteers were present, according to the social media post.

At one point, one person said, “are we allowed to be in here?” and the response was “just run to the car,” the organization reported hearing on the surveillance video.

“Please understand, you are no longer welcome at our center. We work too hard for this community to have it treated this way,” the non-profit continued in the post.

News 12 reached to Suffolk Police to see if they are investigating the incident but were told a report was not filed at this time.
