A man was seriously injured during a stabbing incident inside a Central Islip parking lot on Tuesday, according to police.

Authorities say they received a report about a man with stab wounds just before 6 p.m.

Officers found him on East Suffolk Avenue and sent him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The events leading to the incident are unclear. Police have yet to provide details about any potential suspects.
