A Westbury woman accused of stealing from Roosevelt Field Mall is facing numerous charges following a chaotic arrest Tuesday in East Garden City.

Police say Angela McCallum, 49, entered the Victoria’s Secret, hid several items inside a shopping bag and fled without paying.

Officers responding to the scene caught up with her in the parking lot.

They say she became violent and attempted to remove an officer’s taser.

One officer was injured during the incident and hospitalized for treatment.

Further investigation revealed that McCallum was previously banned from the store.

The charges against her include burglary, attempted robbery, petit larceny, assault, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.

She is set to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
