A
wheelchair-accessible SUV was donated to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation
to make it easier for injured vets and first responders to get around.
The $100,000 modified Chevy
Suburban was donated by New York Auto.
Weidinger Auto Group
president Jack Weidinger donated the vehicle at a special ceremony in Great
Neck this morning.
The truck has been specially
modified with a superarm lift system to provide easy egress for passengers
in wheelchairs.
The Tunnels to Towers
Foundation says it is committed to using this vehicle to help transport Tunnel
to Towers Smart Home recipients and catastrophically injured veterans and first
responders in the greater tri-state area.
