Toys for Tots had its annual kickoff at the Roosevelt Field Mall Wednesday.
Students from nearby schools brought bags filled with toy donations for children in need. Even Santa Claus made his entrance along with members of the United States Marines.
Since Toys for Tots started back in 1947, it has brought millions of toys to kids. Organizers say they are in need of new, unwrapped toys that can be dropped off at any post office or 7-Eleven. Most firehouses throughout Nassau County have also been designated as Toys for Tots dropoff points.
More information about Toys for Tots events and donations can be found on their official website.
