Teen from New Rochelle sentenced to 19 years in prison for fatal shooting of another teen

The Westchester District Attorney's Office says Tommy Rivera used a ghost gun in the January 2022 incident.

An 18-year-old from New Rochelle has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for the fatal shooting of another teen.
The Westchester District Attorney's Office says Tommy Rivera used a ghost gun in the January 2022 incident.
Rivera shot 16-year-old Julian Oliveros four times as he walked on Fourth Street in New Rochelle.
Surveillance video captured the incident.
Rivera pleaded guilty to manslaughter back in March.
In addition to his prison sentence, he will be subject to five years of post-release supervision upon his release.
