Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi was greeted with a standing ovation from his senior staff when he returned to work Wednesday. Minority Republicans were glad to see Suozzi back in the building after months on the road campaigning for the Democratic nomination for governor. However, many Democrats wonder how he?s going to get along with legislators who supported Eliot Spitzer. There is also concern about how Albany is going to treat Nassau after months of Suozzi bashing state lawmakers. The county executive reached out to mend fences with fellow Nassau Democrats and promised no retribution. Suozzi says his plans for the future include finishing out his term, going into the private sector and maybe coming back for a political run in 10 years. Related Information:
