Northwell Health and Pal-O-Mine Equestrian team up to host a day of wellness for cancer survivors
The event utilizes horses to help those battling cancer.

Healing was the ‘mane’ event at the first-ever Day of Healing hosted by Northwell Health and Pal-O-Mine Equestrian.
Over 100 cancer survivors and their caregivers gathered in Islandia to take part in the therapeutic event, where participants joined educational panels, watched cooking demonstrations and spent quality time with the center’s horses.
"No one understands what you're going through until you experienced that journey,” cancer survivor Serena Kindler said. “So having this beautiful day giving each other hope sharing our journey through tear through laughter and that's what this day represents."
