Teen stabbed to death outside apartment building in Hempstead; suspect on the run

Nassau County police said investigators are looking for a person who fatally stabbed a teenager in Hempstead on Sunday night.

The incident happened outside an apartment building at 545 Fulton Ave., at the intersection of California Avenue, just before 9:30 p.m.

Officers said they found an 18-year-old male victim with puncture wounds to his torso and rushed him to the hospital, where he died.

Police haven't released any details about who they're looking for or the motive for the fatal stabbing.
